Die neue Bibliothek "La B!B" in Dünkirchen entstand im ehemaligen Musée des Beaux-Arts. Das Gebäude aus dem Jahr 1972 wurde komplett entkernt, während die Außenhülle aus kleinen Marmorplatten erhalten blieb. Auf 3 980m² befinden sich nun neben unterschiedlich ausgestalteten Lese- und Arbeitsplätzen und einer großen Sitzlandschaft auch ein großes Atrium mit Café. Die Baukosten betrugen etwa 4,8 Mio. Euro.
The new library "La B!B" in Dunkirk was built in the former Musée des Beaux-Arts. The building from 1972 was completely gutted, while the outer shell of small marble slabs was preserved. On 3 980m², there are now reading and working areas with different layouts, a large seating area and a large atrium with a café. The construction costs amounted to about 4.8 million euros.
