Stadtbibliothek, Rottenburg am Neckar

Der abgeknickte, monolithische Gebäudekörper der neuen Stadtbibliothek liegt im Zentrum von Rottenburg bei Tübingen und soll eine Schnittstelle zwischen der Altstadt und neuer Bebauung bilden. Bei der Konstruktion musste unter anderem die Erdbebenzone 3 besonders beachtet werden. Die Hauptnutzfläche beträgt 1 270m² und die Baukosten lagen in Höhe von 6,2 Mio. Euro.

The angled, monolithic building structure of the new municipal library is located in the centre of Rottenburg near Tübingen and is intended to form a link between the old town and new development. During construction, special attention had to be paid to earthquake zone 3, among other things. The main usable area is 1 270m² and the construction costs amounted to 6.2 million euros.
