Die neue Billie Jean King Main Library in Long Beach ist sowohl eine traditionelle Bibliothek als auch ein modernes, technologieorientiertes Zentrum für die Gemeinde. Computer, Büchersammlungen und ruhige Lesebereiche stehen auf der zweiten Ebene zur Verfügung. Insgesamt bietet die Bibliothek platz für 300 000 Bücher.

The entrance level can be flexibly reconfigured to accommodate a variety of events such as exhibitions, workshops and social events. The main level features large open areas dedicated to children's literature and activities organised by age group. Computers, book collections and quiet reading areas are available on the second level. In total, the library has space for 300 000 books.
