Die neue Stadtbibliothek befindet sich im Hochhauskomplex P2 an der Amraser Straße in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs. Dieser umfasst neben 3 000m² Bibliotheksfläche mit 50.000 Medien, einem Lesecafé und einem Veranstaltungssaal auch Gastronomie und Wohnen. Der Komplex soll als städtebauliches Gelenk für die angrenzenden Stadtteile fungieren und wird "Wohnzimmer für die ganze Stadt" bezeichnet.
The new city library is located in the P2 high-rise complex on Amraser Straße near the main railway station. In addition to 3,000m² of library space with 50,000 media, a reading café and an event hall, this complex also includes gastronomy and housing. The complex is intended to function as an urban link for the neighbouring districts and is described as a "living room for the whole city".
