Bibliothek des FHNW Campus, Muttenz

Im Neubau der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) in Muttenz befindet sich neben Mensa, Bibliothek, Seminarräume, Werkstätten, Sporthallen, 16 Hörsäle und diversen Ladenflächen auch das "Piano nobile". Dieses offen gehaltene Bibliotheksgeschoss befindet sich im dritten Obergeschoss und soll, wie alle anderen Nutzungen auch, durch die Fenster nach außen hin ablesbar sein. Der gesamte Neubau kostete umgerechnet 250 Mio Euro.

The new building of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) in Muttenz houses a cafeteria, library, seminar rooms, workshops, sports halls, 16 lecture halls and various retail spaces, as well as the "piano nobile". This open library floor is located on the third floor and, like all the other uses, should be visible to the outside through the windows. The entire new building cost the equivalent of 250 million euros.
