Universitätsbibliothek, Canterbury

Durch eine umfangreiche Erweiterung und Renoveriung der Templeman Library an der University of Kent, Canterbury, wurde die bestehende, 12.500 m² große Bibliothek um eine Fläche von 5.400 m² erweitert und um moderne Einrichtungen ergänzt. Somit gehört zum neuen Repertoire des Universitätsgebäudes ein Hörsaal mit 250 Plätzen, diverse Seminarräume und eine Lehrsuite sowie Austellungs-, Archiv-, Konferenz-, Studien- und Caféräume. Entwurf und Planung stammt vom Londoner Architekturüro Penoyre & Prasad.

A major extension and renovation of the Templeman Library at the University of Kent, Canterbury, has added 5,400m² of modern facilities to the existing 12,500m² library. As a result, the university building's new repertoire includes a 250-seat lecture theatre, various seminar rooms and a teaching suite, as well as exhibition, archive, conference, study and café spaces. The design and planning was done by the London architectural firm Penoyre & Prasad.
